Current Topics

This course provides students with an insight into a current topic of research, as well as theory formulation. The starting point of the course will be ongoing research activities within History of Art at the Department.

Upon successful completion of this course, students will have:
- a valuable understanding of procedures, methods, and presentation of current research.

Upon successful completion of this course, the students will know how to:
- in an independent way, find, elaborate, and practice theory within the given limits, as well as conduct independent research and present the results orally as well as in written form.

Lectures and seminars, including supervision, in groups and individually.

Course requirements:
Students must pass an oral presentation of their project proposals before being eligible for final assessment.

More on assessment:
A scholarly paper based on a seminar talk. The essay must be about 5000 words, exclusive of bibliography.

Students are required to stay updated on any information given by the department or course director; either via It's learning or Innsida.
