Cooperation in Health Care

Students will learn about fundamental models of evaluation of cooperation and collaboration within integrated clinical pathways. The course also touches upon fundamental methods for the measurement of user satisfaction, clinical outcomes and effectiveness of the services.
The course is designed for students who will include an economic evaluation in their master thesis, or other who conduct studies where economic evaluation is included.

After completing KLH3010, the student can:
- Plan and develop a scientific research protocol for clinical health research on collaboration in health care; within primary
care, within secondary health care and between primary and secondary health care.
- Discuss and know the application of elementary experimental study designs relevant to clinical research on collaboration.
- Plan and develop a scientific research protocol for clinical health research on collaboration, including small clinical trials.
- Understand the basic principles for planning studies and performing research on complex interventions due to complex
organisation of health care services with a huge number of different professionals and diagnoses, different cultures,
complex legislation and different financial models

Lectures and group sessions. The lectures will take place the weeks the master program of Clinical Health Science has intensive education. The subject is only carried out if enough students register.
Compulsory assignments: Student must be present at lectures.
