Physical Methods in Structural Chemistry

Several structural methods in physical chemistry are presented: UV-VIS-, NMR-, IR-, Raman- and Microwave spectroscopy, X-ray crystallography, photoelectron-, Mössbauer- and X-ray absorption spectroscopy. These methods are used for determining structures and intramolecular motions in molecules.

The course gives the students an introduction to different physical methodes in structural chemistry.

The teaching consists of lectures and problem solving. 75% of the exercises must be approved before final examination (5 hours).
