Project management and leadership and development of processes

Projects and processes are interdependent. In this subject, the focus is on project leadership, as well as the management and development of processes. Regarding project leadership, the emphasis is on the project manager and how individuals in this role can create direction and progress in projects by fostering collaboration. Before we examine different types of processes and key process perspectives, we will place process management in a historical context. The general responsibilities and tasks of process owners and other stakeholders will also be presented. An important goal in the management and development of processes is to enhance the participants’ understanding of process development as a team effort.

The course is conducted with two sessions, each lasting two days. Teaching is provided in the form of lectures with a high degree of participant involvement, including discussions, case studies, and group work. Between sessions, participants will work on reading assignments and a project task.
