Children and parents understood in an everyday life perspective

The course provides deepened knowledge of how an everyday life perspective of children and parents (families) in a complex and compound life situation can give access to a deeper understanding of the individual family's situation - whether families have children with disabilities, families with substance abuse, psychiatry and child welfare issues. etc-. The overall focus of the course is the significance of what is going on in everyday life and different perspectives on everyday life. It is in everyday life that people live their lives. Emphasis will be placed on how the habitual and taken for granted in everyday life can be understood as the most essential framework for our integrity, which in turn is of significant importance in the encounter with the support system.

The course consists of lectures, various forms of group work, self-study and oral presentations in seminars.
