Content
Classical Mechanics
Translational motion: velocity, acceleration, forces, Newton's laws.
Rotary motion: angular velocity, angular acceleration, angular momentum, moment of inertia.
Energy: potential and kinetic energy, conservation laws, work, power.
Oscillations: oscillations with and without damping, resonance.
Electric and magnetic fields
Electric field: Coulomb's law, field strength, field lines.
Magnetic field: Amperes law, the magnetic force on a moving charge, electromagnetic induction, Faraday's and Lenz's law, generators, transformers.
Electric Motors: AC and DC motors
Thermodynamics
Equation of state
First law of thermodynamics

The structure of atoms and the periodic system

Teaching methods
Pedagogical methods:
Lectures, exercises, modeling with computer tools. Laboratory exercises.

All lab assignments / modeling assignments must be approved, before sitting for the final examThe exercises must be approved.
