About this course

Content

The course will cover broad knowledge on design, integrate and analysis mechatronic systems. Students will get theoretical and practically knowledge of diverse mechatronic elements and systems, and will touch each corner of mechatronics system including system integration, sensor, actuation, control. The course content are as follows:

  • Mechatronics system design methodology
  • Fast prototyping
  • Hardware selection and integration
  • Software and programming
  • Sensors
  • Transmissions and actuators
  • Control basics
  • AI application
  • Modelling and real time simulation

Learning outcomes

Learning outcomes -Knowledge:

  • Theoretical and practically knowledge of diverse mechatronic elements and system
  • Fully vision on mechatronics, single components and stand-along system
  • Work independently on practical and theoretical problems on mechatronics.
  • Using modern digital tools in complex mechatronics engineering (programming, computer-aided design (CAD), computational fluid dynamics (CFD), computer-aided engineering (CAE))
  • Design and develop mechatronics components and systems
  • Apply advanced control and AI for mechatronics systems

Teaching methods

Lectures, exercises and examples from real applications will be provided in the course. There will be individual mandatory assignments and exam project. 75% of the mandatory assignments have to be approved before admission to examination.
