About this course

Content

The objective of the course is to give an introduction into some more advanced topics within the fields of Computer Aided Engineering (CAE):

  • Automated Design
  • Computer Aided Manufacturing
  • Finite Element Analysis

This course centers around a problem based approach, with practical training using 3D CAD/FEM software and project work in our manufacturing lab.

Course Curriculum:

  • Computer Aided Design
  • Automated Design / Parametric Modeling
  • 3D Scanning
  • Rapid Prototyping
  • Computer Aided Manufacturing
  • Virtual Prototyping
  • Industry 4.0
  • Strength Analysis
  • Finite Element Theory
  • Finite Element Analysis

In addition to the individual course topic, the study program shares a common project theme across all courses. This is addressed through the perspective and methodology of each course to deliver discipline specialization, as well as linking the different scopes and aspects into a holistic engineering view.
