Knowledge

The candidate has

  • knowledge about innovation and entrepreneurship in a technological perspective
  • basic knowledge about economic management and investments
  • knowledge about project organisation, methods and reporting, including, risk analysis and quality assurance
  • knowledge about sustainable engineering and environmental systems analysis

Skills

The candidate can

  • perform investment calculations, and assess profitability and economic risk
  • prepare simple budgets
  • analyse economic and environmental characteristics of products, processes or services
  • practice good interdisciplinary teamwork
  • apply methods for creative thinking on technology processes
  • define systems and analyse value chains with footprint analysis, life cycle assessment and energy analysis, as well as define and calculate energy and material efficiency indicators on systems level

General competence

The candidate can

  • assess the need for entrepreneurship in labour marked and society
  • assess ethical dilemmas that may arise in an entrepreneurship process
  • account for ethical, environmental, technological, individual and societal perspectives
  • demonstrate systems thinking and interaction with other engineers for innovation, creativity and entrepreneurship
  • communicate business and sustainability related issues to professionals within own and other disciplines
  • disseminate results orally and in writing in teams
