Bachelor Project

The main work is an independent assignment that is rooted in issues from society and business or research and development work. The thesis will be given in the field of Information Technology in a broad sense and be based on relevant scientific theory.

Knowledge

The candidate:

• has knowledge of establishing, planning and implementing projects on behalf of others.
• have in-depth knowledge of the topic covered by the thesis.
• has wide knowledge of adjacent subjects for the bachelor project.
• has knowledge of the requirements for written preparation of scientific reports.

Skills

The candidate:

• can execute a project within given time frames and in accordance with current requirements for follow-up and reporting.
• can choose and apply a working method suitable for a given problem.
• can find, evaluate, use and refer to information and subject matter and present it so as to illuminate a problem.
• can provide a critical assessment of results achieved.

General competence

The candidate:

• can communicate subject matter in writing and orally.
• can reflect on their own professional practice and put their work into a multidisciplinary context and adapt to the relevant work situation.
• can plan and execute information management projects on behalf of others.
• can carry out a project for a client with the emphasis on meeting the client's goals and requirements.
• can integrate previous knowledge from different topics and acquire new knowledge to answer a specific problem.

The bachelor thesis is delivered as an online study. Science theory and method teaching is offered. Individual work is planned, with the opportunity to work in groups for those who want it. Close cooperation between the student(s) and the client is required. Each assignment is assigned to a supervisor. Emphasis is placed on regular meetings between the student(s) and the principal and between the student(s) and the supervisor.

Compulsory assignment: Submission of a working title and a concise description of the bachelor’s project.
