About this course

Content

The aim of this course is to extend the knowledge about scientific and theoretical approaches used in in relation to interaction design research. The course is an opportunity for students to either do a literature study or perform a project with relevance for their upcoming master theses.

Key abilities that students should practice are:

  1. Choosing, defining and refine a research topic
  2. Using scientific research methodologies related to interaction design research
  3. Selecting, reviewing and interpreting relevant literature, or gather and analyse relevant data
  4. Derive implications for future research
  5. Writing a scientific article in English. The course set up requires students to select and refine a theme, and discuss with an assigned supervisor approaches towards writing a scientific article.

Teaching methods

Main literature study, supervision meetings, and article writing. It is expected that students work very independently, but are very welcome to organise a systematic supervision routine with a chosen supervisor and/or the responsible teacher.
