Learning outcomes
Knowledge:
- The students have gained knowledge in "state-of-the-art" methodologies and tools used to develop computer applications.
- The students have gained knowledge to adapt a given software process and the use of tools to the specifics of the project.
- The students have acquired knowledge regarding importance of different quality attributes including security based on project characteristics.
- The students have acquired basic knowledge regarding risk management
- The students have acquired basic knowledge regarding software architecture design
- The students have acquired knowledge regarding testing strategies and tools.
Skills:
- The students are capable of independently (unassisted) designing and implementing software architectures which leverage "state-of-the-art" tools and methodologies
- The students are capable of using, adapting and reflecting on "state-of-the-art" tools and methodologies in development work
- The students are capable of designing, developing and evaluating software to meet a set of quality requirements.
- The students are capable of planning and conducting systematic risk assessment as well as testing of software and systems.
- The students are capable of continuously assessing and improving methods and techniques for their project based on scientific and professional literature.
- The students can write technical reports documenting their process, product and choices related to the project.
- The student can document, evaluate and reflect on their collaborative experience with respect to the process, tools and the product.
General Competence:
- The students have gained experience working in groups.
- The students have increased their understanding of professional practice in the field of applied computer science.
- The students have gained experience in technical writing, in particular programming and writing documentation by their own hand

Additional information: The projects will be organized in groups, ideally, more than three students per group.
Obligatory coursework: Students should participate in the seminars by presenting project status and sharing their experiences / reflections on the project work. Students should present the final project during the last seminar. Students who cannot participate physically, need to submit written or recorded contributions in advance.
