Project Work for Exchange Master Students

The student wishing to register for this course, must first make an appointment with the academic staff present at NTNU in Gjøvik. Attendance on Campus Gjøvik is a requirement.

Any student wishing to register for this course, must first make an appointment with the academic staff present at NTNU in Gjøvik. The project is defined in agreement with a supervisor at NTNU, and will address challenging scientific research or development problems. Students are advised to contact academic staff at the Department of Computer Science (IDI) at NTNU in Gjøvik in order to make an appointment for project work. The project should address challenging scientific research or development problems.

After completing the course the student will have experience from (knowledge and skills):

• working individually on a challenging scientific research or development problem
• planning and conducting an R&D project
• seeking and assessing work in a field relevant to the project
• developing and assessing alternative solutions to the problem
• documenting the results in a scientific report

General competence: The student will have developed a positive attitude to working in a scientific and problem-oriented way and is familiar with the ethics of scientific research.

Project Work

• Project status must be reported regularly to the advisor.
• The project report must be presented orally to a general audience towards the end of the project.
• The project report will assessed and evaluated by the supervisor at NTNU in Gjøvik (passed/not passed)
• Students will get access to NTNU's Learning Management System, only for the purpose of additional best-practice information regarding project work and report writing,
