Learning outcomes

After the course the student should be able to:
Knowledge:
-Analyze and discuss the knowledge contribution from a design process (design as research, research-by-design).
-Analyze and evaluate different designs according to their creative and innovative contribution.
-Account for theories about design thinking.

Skills:
-Design innovative physical and digital (Internet-of-things) products or services using a structured, iterative process
-Apply methods for creating and developing ideas and prototypes in practical and user-centred design processes
- Develop competence in visual, physical and interactive sketching techniques

General competence:
-Participate as a productive member in group projects

Additional information:

-The course will normally be taught through a series of intensive seminars on the different course topics. Each seminar will normally consist of 2 seminar days. A total of 6 seminars/topics. In addition to seminars there can be project work, presentations and observations together with clients/participants.
