Learning outcomes

Knowledge:
- The candidate has a basic understanding of the profession of engineering and the role of the computer engineer in the society.
- The candidate can explain the historical evluation of technology in general and of computer science in particular.
- The candidate is familiar with scientific methods and has basic knowledge of project management and reporting.
- The candidate has an overall knowledge of  the technical foundatins of computers, network and security.
- The candidate knows basic methods for innovation.

Skills:
- The candidate can identify and recognise engineering problems, and solve them with reference to scientific literature.
- The candidate can utilize software for computing, data analysis and scientific reporting.
- The candidate is familiar with basic processes for innovation in projects.

General competence:
- The candidate is aware of environmental and ethical consequences of technological products and solutions.
- The candidate is familiar with sharing knowledge and experience with others, both written and orally, in Norwegian and Englsh, and can cooperate as a part of a team.
- The candidate is able to organise, plan and manage his studies, both individually and in collaboration with others.
