- Construct simple circuits after given specifications, be able to build them and to do measurements to verify that they work after their purpose
- Use measurement instruments for practical measuring and to trace erroneous couplings
- Take into consideration inaccuracy in measurements and use them in further calculations
GENERAL COMPETENCE - The candidate is to be able to:
- Use fundamental laws and analysis methods from this course in later parts of the candidate's study and in work situations
- Know Norwegian and English technical terms for methods/techniques, components/parameters, units of measurements etc.
- Follow security instruction for laboratory work
- Use a simulation tool for analysis of simple electrical circuits
- Report laboratory work
Teaching methods
In the course time is set apart for lectures, exercises and laboratory work. In the online platform for the course resources that supports the teaching in the course are made available. All written obligatory work is to be delivered in the online platform of the course. It is 13-16 theoretical exercises in the course. 4 of these exercises in the autumn semester and 5 of these exercises in the spring semester must be delivered according to given deadlines and then be approved to get access to the exam in the course. It is obligatory to do all the laboratory exercises in the course and to have the journals from the laboratory exercises approved. One might be asked to write up to 2 obligatory reports from the laboratory exercises- These must be delivered according to given deadlines and be approved to gain access to the exam in the course.
