Ohm's law, Kirchhoff's laws
serial and parallel connection, current and voltage distribution, electrical power
simplification of circuits and circuit models with Thevenin and Norton equivalents
first order DC-circuits with resistor, capacitor and inductor
AC circuits with sinusoidal signals, amplitude and rms-values, impedance
phasors
three-phase circuits
basic semiconductor devices, diodes and transistors, and circuits with these components
design of transistor amplifiers, load line analysis and quiescent operating point
the operational amplifier, basic circuits with operational amplifiers, differential and instrumentation amplifier
signal interfacing and signal processing, passive and active filter
electrical documentation with schematic drawings
laboratory work with fundamental measuring techniques
Learning outcomes
Læringsutbytte - Kunnskap:
central laws and methods for analysis of electrical circuits
DC circuits in transient and steady-state and AC circuits with sinusoidal signals
basic semiconductor technology and operational amplifiers

basic measurement techniques, and safe handling and connection of electrical components and electrical circuits
electrical documentation with reports and measurement protocols, and schematic drawings using software tools

use measuring devices as multimeter and oscilloscope
connect, analyze and document own experiments with electrical circuitry and communicate own knowledge both orally and in writing
independently obtain and use data sheets and supporting literature in own work

Obligatoriske arbeidskrav:
6 compulsory theoretical exercises. 6 compulsory laboratory exercises. Access to the examination requires that all mandatory work have been submitted within the deadlines, and approved.
