About this course
Content
Through theory and practical exercises, students will acquire basic knowledge of theories and methodologies of training. The course focuses on both physical and athletic performance, as well as the health effects of various training programs. Students will work with training methodology and theory relevant to both sports and physical education. Students will work with different age groups and groups with different goals for skill development.
Learning outcomes
The student will have basic knowledge of training theory, both in terms of performance development and in a health perspective. Training methodology and theory contains knowledge about how physical, technical and coordinative skills are developed. Students should be able to apply and discuss basic training principles in training planning, and further be able to carry out, document, analyze and evaluate training. Students will understand training methodology and theory in relation to different target groups, at different ages and different training contexts.
Teaching methods
3 hours of lectures/seminars each week.
