Research Design in Sport Sciences

The course will present frames and assumptions for various social research traditions. Through dialogue-based lectures/seminars and student presentations, emphasis is placed on developing creative research designs and a critical attitude towards research. Criteria for the quality of research is given considerable weight.

Knowledge:
- be familiar with different research designs.
Skills:
- be able develop and justify a research design for a project at the size of a Master thesis.
- be able to give a critical assessment of others' research design.
