Qualitative and Quantitative Research Methods in Sport Sciences

The course includes central perspectives in philosophy of science, relevant for sport science. The course teaches qualitative and quantitative research methods, and will discuss how different methods could help shed light on the same sport phenomenon.

Knowledge, the student shall
* Understand principles of qualitative and quantitative research methods
* Have knowledge about challenges connected to the use of qualitative and quantitative research methods

Skills, the student shall demonstrate the knowledge to:
* Develop research questions in sport science
* Apply different methods with the purpose of generating data and analysing it.
