In-depth Project

The course is intended as a preparation for the bachelor project and it is expected that the student will use all his/her available knowledge/skills/general competence in the work on this project. This is a project- and group-based course based on the students' own interests. The students themselves must form a group and find a client and a project. The groups can either acquire a client and project themselves, or choose from projects that are submitted to the institute from different organisations. The projects should be a preliminary project for the bachelor thesis.

At the end of the course, the students will possess specialized insight into a particular topic and they will know how to analyse a problem and propose a solution by detecting the goals and scope of the project. Skill Goals: - Independently be able to make a plan of how to carry out a real project - Skills in studying a topic and, then, limiting and defining its scope for its development - Skills and competence to search for relevant academic, scientific and technical resources - Skills in documenting and presenting project results General Competence Goals: At the end of the course, the students will be capable of acquiring new knowledge under supervision and they will be able to tackle the different stages of a project using the acquired knowledge of a specific topic.
