The candidate has knowledge of
- relevant laws and regulations governing building processes
- requirements within health, safety and environment
- responsibilities between the stakeholders in the building process
- Norwegian Standards for engineering, contracting and construction
- ICT tools for project management and calculation methods for management, operation, maintenance and development of existing buildings

Skills:
The candidate may
- apply relevant laws and regulations in different construction projects
- organize good building processes with clarified roles and responsibilities
- implement measures for safety and quality management on site
- use standard documents and ICT tools for building licence, engineering, contracting and production management
- apply basic methods for management, operation, maintenance and development of existing buildings

General competence:
The candidate may
- convey professional building knowledge to different target groups
- adapt professional competence to different working situations
- reflect on own professional practice, also in teams and in an interdisciplinary context
- contribute to the development of good practice through participating in discussions within the field

Lectures and self-study. Exercises/projects and visit to a construction site.

Mandatory assignments:
Until 12 mandatory exercises must be submitted and approved before the candidate can take the exam
