Competence and Service Development within the Psychosocial Work

The course focuses on the development of knowledge and services in practice. Development of professional competence in project management is emphasised. The course is closely linked to guidance on an concrete development project within the students' own workplace. The development project will be documented in a separate report that is included in the exam on the subject.

Knowledge:

• has advanced knowledge of service development, innovation and project management.
• has advanced knowledge of scientific theory and methods relevant for the actual development project
• can analyze research and professional ethical dilemmas related to the development project and project management

Skills:

• can critically reflect on their own practice and do critical reflections of ethical issues in their own organization
• can identify areas in need of practice development in their own professional practice
• can conduct and complete a limited development work in practice, based on professional guidance, scientific methods and research ethics

• General competence:
• can plan, implement and complete independent written development work and convey the results of this work to users and relevant professionals
• has developed professional skills; creativity and courage, and strengthened the ability for further development
• can contribute to innovative processes in their own organization

Lecture, group work, self-study and writing of a report of their development project.

The project can be performed individually or in a group.

80 % attendance is compulsory in the course.
