Participation, Quality of Health Care and Professional Qualification

This course will provide the students with different theoretical perspectives in regard to the masters thesis. The critically ill will be highlighted from different points of view. Knowledge on patients-, families and health care professionals` experiences will be important to develop quality in health care services. Different factors that can influence and be influenced by critical illness will also be central topics regarding patients and families` coping ability. Professional qualification is an important topic in a changing health care- and educational system.Topic 1: Patients-, families- and health care professionals experiences regarding critical illness.

Topic 2: Different factors that can influence and be influenced by critical illness.

Topic 3: Professional qualification.
- Professional qualification from a historical perspective
- Developing clinical competence
- Learning and qualifying in the perspective of formation
