Introduction to Health Promotion

This is a course targeting bachelor's students in the beginning of their studies.
Public health is a concept that includes disease prevention and health promotion. This introductory course gives an overview both how health promotion is worked with both politically and via policy to offer health promotion possibilities for the population. Further, the course offers exemplifications both from practical work with health promotion in the society (national. regional and in small communities) and also how Health Promotion Research is carried through to make Health Promotion work more targeted and effective.

The students will get a basic introduction to to health promotion theory, research, and practical HP work.

Lectures either in lecture theatre or digital. Written exam, multiple choice.
