Digital Society

The course is adapted for students participating in the five-year teacher training programme in history. The course provides a broad overview of the development of the digital society, and aims to develop an increased awareness concerning different problems with internet sources in the academic field of history. The course also involves practical training in the production of history through electronic media. This includes a short introduction to various forms of social science data (surveys, observations, public documents) and analyzing this through various techniques (tables and qualitative descriptions).

Lectures. In addition, an intensive two days' workshop related to the mandatory assignment will be held in the first part of the course.
