Upon passed exam the student can: - describe blood cell morphology - Describe normal hemostasis - perform and explain analytical methods and principles, manual and automated, which is used in diagnostic laboratories in hematology - explain the main blood cell disorders, and defects in haemostasis - Evaluate and interpret the results of analyzes of normal and pathological blood samples in hematology and hemostasis -explain important preanalytical factors in hematology and hemostasis

Expected total work load: 200 hours. Lectures 24 hours. Laboratory course 40 hours (6 laboratory exercises) and a task Team Based Learning (TBL). Self study: 136 hours.
