Sediment Production and Transport on Slopes and in Rivers

Emphasis is placed on how processes related to frost, slopes and running water contribute to the development of landforms and have applied relevance concerning, for example landslides, intervention in watercourses, and problems relating to flooding. The course combines theoretical and methodological approaches through seminars and the compulsory assignment.

Learning objectives: The course aims to provide knowledge on processes related to frost, slopes and rivers.
Skills: The candidate will acquire analytical skills based on available web resources.
General competence: The candidate can work independently, critical and analytical with central questions, and can communicate knowledge on processes related to frost, mass movement and fluvial processes.

30 hours lectures, 4 hours seminars.
