After ended course, the students are able to
- describe the main principles for modelling of geographic information
- explain Norwegian standards relevant for geographic information
- know the relevant international standards for geographic information
- explain the most relevant data capture methods for geographical data capture
- describe data quality, availability and use for geographical data
- know the principles for producing data using orthophoto and laser scanners

Skills:
- carry out and explain the results from a quality control of geographic data sets
- carry out analysis using orthophoto and aerial photo
- carry out analysis using a point cloud dataset

General competence:
- precise written and oral presentation of relevant material
