Introductory Course in Film and Video Production

The course offers a practical-theoretical introduction to film and video production.

Knowledge
Upon successful completion of this course the student will have knowledge about:
- basic filmic/cinematic elements and different film genres
- basic concepts of subject-specific film- and television expressions
- basic concepts of the different phases in production of audio visual expressions
- basic concepts of different functions in a production of audio visual material

Skills
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will know how to:
- use technical equipment for video production, like film cameras, light- and sound systems, as well as editorial software
- develop and produce synopsis and film manuscripts
- develop characters and story-telling dramaturgy

Lectures, seminars, group sessions and exercises.
