French 1

The course gives an introduction to French language with emphasis on pronunciation, listening comprehension, basic grammar and written exercises. It also presents aspects of French culture and society through texts and conversations.

Candidates who have passed this course
- have basic knowledge of French language, culture and society.
- can understand and make themselves understood on level A1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
- can read and understand simple texts in French.
- can write short texts in French.
- can make conversation in French at a basic level about familiar topics.
