About this course
Content
The course covers the basic equilibrium models of the financial market, describing how the prices of financial assets depend on basic macro variables as aggregated consumption, investments, and production. The course will also provide the students with an overview of empirical phenomena which deviates from these model predictions, as well as more recent theories developed to describe these phenomena.
Learning outcomes
To provide the students with knowledge of how the financial market relates to other aspects of the economy, as well as the strengths and weaknesses of various models within the field.
Teaching methods
Teaching method and activities: 2 hours of lectures, and 1-2 hours of practical exercise every week. Compulsory activity: One approved term paper.
