Bachelor's Thesis in Film Studies

FILM2205 is an undergraduate course that further develops the student's application of film studies perspectives in an independent written treatment of a topic of choice.

Knowledge

After completing the course, the student has knowledge of:

• a film studies topic of choice.
• accomplishment of a film studies research project.
• development of an academic text.

Skills

After completing the course, the student can:

• present and explain film studies topics as well as their own findings, analyses and conclusions.
• plan and accomplish an independent film studies research project.
• write an academic text.

Lectures, seminars, and supervision in groups and individually.

The bachelor’s thesis can be written in Scandinavian or English. Every bachelor’s thesis must include a Scandinavian and English summary.

Students are required to stay updated on information from the department or course director via Canvas.
