PhD Seminar in Photonics

The seminar is given when needed, autumn and spring. The course will cover selected topics at advanced levels.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

The course covers selected topics in photonics at doctoral level and is adapted individually according to the candidates' need for width and depth in his/her plan for academic training.

A. Knowledge:
The candidate has knowledge about methods and technological insight in the selected topics defined as part of the curriculum. The content is in the forefront of its field and provides a basis for the candidate's theoretical and / or experimental work.

The candidate has general knowledge in the topics and if applicable, will be able to put the course topics into a broader technological, economic / business and social context.
The candidate is familiar with ethical issues related to the topics where relevant.

Specific learning objectives for each course tailored to the needs of the student are specified and approved by IEs-FU.

B. Skills:
The candidate can actively use the course's topics in analytical and / or constructive work and is encouraged to take a critical attitude to established knowledge in the field. Specific skill goals for each seminar individually tailored to the candidate's needs is specified and approved by IEs-FU.
