About this course

Content

The course will focus on exercise and planning of exercise for dancers, and the basis needed to develop good strategies for doing so. Focus on how to maintain health in the context of rehearsal dancing is based on the understanding of the body as one.

Learning outcomes

Knowledges:An examinee with a completed qualification in EXFAC0014
• Has knowledge of which skills are required of a professional dancer
• Has knowledge of how to use the body from the perspective of health promotion and exercise
• Has knowledge of biomechanics, mobility, and anatomy
• Has knowledge of planning exercise programs

• Can work goal-oriented with individual development of exercise and dance
• Can analyze complicated sequences of movement
• Can develop functional solutions of bodily movements

Teaching methods

The teaching is given in intensive teaching sessions with independent work between the sessions. The oral exam is based on a compulsory written note.
