Art, Media and Communication

This course provides an introduction to the various artistic and communication aspects of modern society and human interaction. The course examines current cultural expressions and how various perspectives such as art, music, dance, theatre, applied linguistics and media studies can create greater understanding of these issues. As such, the course offers an interdisciplinary approach to the different areas of the Bachelor's programme.

The course aims at providing insight into the relationships between experience, description and interpretation within the various areas of the Bachelor's programme in Art, Media and Communications.

Lectures and tutorials.

Requirements:
In order to qualify for final assessment, students must attend tutorials (with a minimum of 80% attendance) and must pass one group assignment.

More on assessment:
The final consists of a two-weeks take-home examination.

Students are required to check the results for their assignments on the department's bulletin board.

Students are required to stay updated on any information provided by the department or course director, either via It's learning, Innsida, course pages on the web, or on bulletin boards.
