EU's Economic and Monetary System

The course focuses on the economic and monetary development and system in the European Union. First the national and international background for the establishment of the EU's economic and monetary policy understood as one dynamic process is studied. Then focus shifts towards the economical, monetary and fiscal system in EU as it is today.

Students should have gained extensive insight into the European Union's economical and monetary system. They should also have aquired knowledge of the forces behind the economical and monetary development in the EU up to the present.
