About this course

Content

The course will give an introduction to analysis and design of electronic systems for digital signal pocessing and energy efficient control of electrical energy conversion systems. Methods for mathematical modelling of system elements and methods for utilizing Digital Signal Processors(DSP)and other components for control of power electronic converters will be covered. A laboratory project with individually designed laboratory exercises will help the student to practice the information presented.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge:
After completing the course, the student shall have thorough knowledge about design of control systems for electric energy conversion.
Skills:
After completing the course, the student shall be able to design and construct control systems for electric energy conversion.

Teaching methods

Lectures/study groups and laboratory/project.
The course is given every second year, next time in the spring term 2018.
