Learning outcomes

Knowledge
After completing the course, students should have knowledge about:
The technical components of solar, wind, geothermal and ocean energy
The various conversion components and their application area.
Efficiencies and capacity factor
Basic knowledge of solar, wind, geothermal and ocean energy for energy purposes.
Explain the main conversion processes.
Integration of the various energy sources

Skills:
Students should be able to calculate power, energy, efficiencies and capacity factor associated with solar, wind, geothermal and ocean energy.
Students should be able to calculate the required energy plant output using solar, wind, geothermal and ocean energy.
Students should be able to make economic assessment of solar , wind, geothermal and ocean energy.
Students should be able to use computer tools to assess energy solutions

General competence:
Students should be able to account for the environmental aspects of the development of solar, wind, geothermal and ocean energy as well as consequences and measures that can be done in such contexts.
