Master Thesis in Arts Education

The master thesis is an independent scientific investigation into a subject chosen by the student him/herself. Tutorials are an important component of the work on the thesis. They ensure that the student has the necessary skills and involve the supervision necessary when generating and analysing research material. Supervision is therefore a compulsory part of the studies.

Through in-depth studies and independent research work under supervision the students will develop skills in and knowledge about systematic work guided by a research question within arts education with focus on teaching pedagogies.

Det gis tilbud om veiledning på masteroppgaven til og med våren 2023. Etter vårsemesteret 2023 gis det ikke veiledning.

Læringsformer - veiledning - sluttseminar med framlegg av egen oppgave og opposisjon på medstudent.

Alle studenter skal inngå avtale med veileder og instituttet om gjennomføring av masteroppgaven. Avtalen bekrefter at tema for masteroppgaven er godkjent og at studenten er kjent med og har akseptert retningslinjer for gjennomføring. Veiledning av masteroppgaven skal være påbegynt 2.semester, og vedvare helt til innlevering av endelig masteroppgave.

Obligatoriske aktiviteter - veiledning - sluttseminar med framlegg av egen oppgave og opposisjon på medstudent. Veiledning og sluttseminar må være gjennomført og godkjent for at masteroppgaven skal kunne leveres for vurdering.
