Master Thesis in Vocational Didactics

The students will carry out a systematic vocational didactic research and development assignment (R&D) within their own vocational field, individually or in collaboration with others. The documentation may take various forms and must show the work processes and results, and enable the work to be understood, in an appropriate way.

The student can

• Analyse and explain the development and place in the society of the student's own vocational field and how vocational didactic research and development work can contribute to sustainable development in the specialist field and in the industry
• Plan, give the grounds for, carry out and assess a vocational didactic research and development (R&D) assignment
• Choose, describe and justify choices of working methods/techniques in the vocational didactic R&D assignment
• Use existing research documentation, specialist sources and national mandatory guidelines to illuminate and understand the student's own R&D work
• Document the student's own R&D in a way that suits the target group for the R&D assignment and that provides a basis for assessing the quality of the R&D work
• Present and disseminate the results of the student's own R&D assignment and participate in professional and vocational didactic debate
• Contribute to sustainable development in the student's own specialist field and the vocational training in the student's own Vg1, Vg2 and Vg3 [1st, 2nd and 3rd years of upper secondary] classes or in parallel training in a firm

Det gis tilbud om veiledning på masteroppgaven til og med våren 2023. Etter vårsemesteret 2023 gis det ikke veiledning.

Seminarer, praktisk utviklingsarbeid og presentasjoner. Alle studenter skal inngå avtale om gjennomføring av masteroppgaven. Avtalen bekrefter at tema for masteroppgaven er godkjent og at partene er kjent med og har akseptert gjeldende retningslinjer for gjennomføring.
