Vocational Didactics in an Organizational and Social Perspective

This course includes knowledge of the organization and its activities in relation to national and international social development, as well as methods for mapping development needs. The interpretation of steering documents (education), and the participation in change and developmental work locally is a very important aspect of this course. The ability to motivate colleagues in collaboration and developmental work, as well as the building of academic networks is also an essential component of this course.

The course will contribute to the Master's students’ further development of subject-related and vocational didactic competence through a clearer understanding and systematic testing of different methods in planning, implementation, assessment, and documentation.

The student can:
- map and assess the need for development in the organization
- deliberate, plan, lead, conduct, evaluate, and document subject-related didactics and vocational didactic development work in one’s own organization in a systematic way
- explain different organizational models
- explain and evaluate different methods for mapping and evaluating organizations
- contribute to the development of the organization in line with the development of society, and to the development of cooperation between own organization and other businesses in the local community
- analysis of steering documents (education), locally, nationally, and internationally
- position and explain vocational and occupational didactic work in relation to national governance documents and organizational theories, and in line with a sustainable society
- advance one’s own work through systematic research and development work
