Practical Vocational Teaching and Learning Metods and Leadership from Organisational and Social Perspectives

The subject includes knowledge of the organisation and its activity in relation to development in the community and methods of investigating and recording development needs. Interpretation of mandatory guidelines and participation in change and development work locally, nationally and internationally are included in the subject. Methods of influencing changes in vocational development and vocational training within the student’s own specialist area, at the organisational level and nationally, are part of the subject. Cooperative work and development of the ability to motivate colleagues to work collaboratively and with a focus on development, and the building of networks, are included. Assessment in the subject is through an individual written assignment for the semester that shows vocational didactic work at the organisational level.

The student can:
• investigate, record and assess needs for development in the organisation
• explain the grounds for, plan, manage, execute, assess and document vocational and vocational didactic development work in the student’s own organisation in a systematic way
• explain various organisational models
• explain and evaluate various methods of investigating, recording and assessing organisations
• contribute to the development of the organisation in line with developments in the community and to the development of cooperation between the student’s own organisation and other undertakings in the local environment
• take part in work on developing mandatory guidelines locally, nationally and internationally
