Dramaturgical Aproaches to Teaching and Learning

The subject is meant to qualify the student to use dramaturgy in teaching and to teach on an aesthetic level. The content of the subject consists of workshops and lectures with and about various aesthetic approaches to teaching, observation tasks, and theory and discussions about dramaturgical thinking and structuring in teaching contexts. The content of the subject is divided in a) aesthetic approaches to learning and dramaturgy with a focus on composition, b) dramaturgy with a focus on the body c) dramaturgy with a focus on space and multimodality.

The student has
- in-depth knowledge of planning and carrying out practical teaching led by dramaturgical thinking
- specialized knowledge of dramaturgy from the perspectives of composition, space, and the body in teaching contexts
- advanced knowledge of aesthetic approaches to learning
- specialized knowledge of dissemination, target group analysis, and participant awareness
- advanced skills in planning and carrying out practical teaching based on dramaturgical principals
- knowledge of multimodal theory
- advanced knowledge of aesthetic instruments in teaching

- workshops and group work with an aesthetic approach to learning, in addition to observation tasks
- theoretical lectures
- carrying out your own plan of teaching with dramaturgical principals, in addition to a visual display of your arrangement
- response to fellow students
- study group with discussion of curriculum literature. Protocols from the meetings are delivered to the teacher responsible of the subject
- written assignment based on an analysis of your own teaching plan, in a dramaturgical perspective

The student must partake in lessons in order to carry out compulsory assignments.
