Advanced Computing

The candidate will get new knowledge and learn to build new knowledge within the field, and thus be trained to contribute to larger research or development projects within advanced computing.

The candidate should be able to use relevant methods for performing research in the field of advanced computing. The candidate should be able to write and critically assess scientific articles. The candidate should be able to efficiently use available computing infrastructures.

Lectures, self-study, and group discussion. All lectures and teaching material will be in English. The candidate will through exercises become familiar with the general field of advanced computing and perform a mini-project on one of the following topics: algorithms, compilers, computer architecture, high-performance computing, or visual computing. The candidate will write a scientific article and participate in the peer-review of other's articles.
