About this course

Content

The course includes the analysis of different cooperative settings as well as the study of methods, concepts, formalisms and tools for modelling, analyzing, designing, implementating and evaluating systems supporting cooperation. Focus will be on ubiquitous and mobile technology. A compulsory theory essay counts in the final grade.

Learning outcomes

The main objective of the course is to train PhD students in the area of cooperation technology from a sociotechnical perspective. Students are expected to gain advanced knowledge about the state of the art in cooperation technology, in terms of theories, methods, and technology. At the end of the course students are expected to be able to apply the gained knowledge in the analysis of cooperative settings and in the design of new technology. They also will develop competencies needed to participate and set up research in the area.

It is expected that students can reflect and report on the use of AI-based tools in connection with their own work.

Teaching methods

Seminars, self-study, and own theory essay.

For lectures or seminars to be organized, at least 3 students must take the course.
