Learning in Technology Rich Environments

This course focuses on challenges and opportunities that arise from the introduction of technology in learning and teaching, with the assumption that a technology rich learning and teaching context is qualitatively different than one without technology.

The course will focus on design of technology for innovative learning practices.

The main objective of the course is to train PhD students in the area of technology enhanced learning (TEL). Students are expected to gain advanced knowledge about the state of the art in TEL, in terms of theories, methods, and technology. At the end of the course students are expected to be able to apply the gained knowledge in the analysis of user needs in formal and informal learning settings and in the design of new technology. They also will develop competencies needed to participate and set up research in the area.
