Optional Topic in Drama and Theatre

The course provides student-driven further study based on the need for strengthening the student's basic understanding before commencing the Master's thesis. It may emphasize theory/method (post-structuralism, qualitative method, historiography, semiotics, sociological subjects etc.), or subjects (epochs, theatre organization, theatre politics, TIU, theory of play).

The course aims to increase students' understanding of an area not covered by the department's traditional courses, or in an area that the student would like to study in greater depth.

Instruction is offered in the form of lectures and seminars.
The course may also be offered in connection with visiting teachers and/or project collaboration at the section/department.

Course requirements:
The curriculum must be submitted and approved by the teacher at least 3 weeks prior to the assignment is issued.

More on the form of assessment:
Based on the student-selected curriculum, a 1-week take home examination on 6000-7000 words will be given, in addition to an oral examination with an external sensor.

Students are required to keep posted on messages from the department or teacher at It's learning and at course web pages or bulletin boards.
