Master's Thesis in Archives and Records Management

The Master's thesis is an independent scientific research work within the field of archives and records management and should be based primarily on courses and topics included in the master's study. The thesis will contribute to developing and demonstrating the student's expertise in archives and records management as an academic discipline and a research area, related to the objectives of the master's program and, if desired, incorporating topics from the master's program in digital transformation. Through the thesis work, the student will gain advanced knowledge of the subject area corresponding to the master's level, in-depth knowledge of selected theories and methods, as well as experience in oral and written communication. Supervision is an essential component of the work on the master's thesis. It ensures that the student is provided with the necessary knowledge and implies a necessary control in obtaining and analyzing the empirical data. Supervision is therefore a compulsory part of the program.

• can communicate his or her research work in writing and orally, in written form as a large research report, and in oral form as a presentation adapted to an academic audience.
• can demonstrate a research ethical and a healthy critical attitude towards his or her own research work.

Lectures, seminars, supervision. This takes place primarily digitally (in real time), but teaching and learning activities on campus may occur.
