Knowledge

The students have broad knowledge of:

- existing map basis, plan data and data registers for planning and design work within VA.

- applicable laws, regulations, guidelines, standards and norms within water and environmental engineering planning.

- planning and engineering tasks within water and environmental engineering at various administrative levels.

- use of computer tools for planning and design of water and environmental engineering operations.

Skills

The student should be able to:

- obtain and make use of basic data in the work with water and environmental engineering design. - apply applicable laws, regulations, guidelines, standards.

- perform simple analyzes against basic data and use database-based planning tools for modeling water and environmental engineering facilities.

- carry out detailed engineering water and environmental engineering systems and be able to produce drawings using selected computer tools.

- produce plans and projects in both 2D and 3D.

General competence

The students can:

- convey water and environmental engineering projects to different target groups.

- reflect on their own professional practice, also in teams and in an interdisciplinary context, and can adapt this to the current work situation.

- contribute to the development of good practice by participating in professional discussions within the water and environmental engineering subject area and sharing their knowledge and experiences with others.

- assess ethical and environmental consequences of water and environmental engineering design.

Physical and digital lectures plus exercises with supervision.
